School Procedures

·    Schedule: We adhere to the Ministry of Education's guidelines, offering eight daily periods across a five-day school week. The academic year is divided into three semesters, each culminating in exams. Final grades are determined by a comprehensive evaluation across all three semesters

Policies

·  Administration of Medicine: Due to safety concerns, medication is generally not administered at school. In exceptional circumstances, a completed medication form (available at the office) is required. Medication must be handed directly to the class teacher, not left in student bags.

 

· Discipline: SIS fosters a culture of tolerance, honesty, and understanding. Upon admission, parents receive the SIS General Rules, outlining expectations for student behavior and safety. These are also reviewed periodically during parent-teacher meetings.

 

·  Anti-Bullying Policy: SIS takes bullying seriously. We define bullying as repeated, negative behavior such as name-calling, threats, teasing, and physical harm. Our strategies to address bullying include:

o Positive reinforcement through praise and rewards.

o Clear communication that bullying is unacceptable.

 

·  Core Values: Class teachers assess student progress throughout the year. We celebrate a "Work Hard and Achieve" culture by awarding certificates in categories like:

· Transportation: SIS provides a safe and convenient bus service for pick-up and drop-off (roundtrip) for all grade levels. Specific timings will be communicated separately. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time. Early drop-off is not permitted before 6:30 AM.
